I've got this working with an Android WOL app but haven't yet tested with Steam Link. Seeing as this is one of the top links on Google for Steam Link WOL and i've been having issues, here is my solution. Simple google searches for "how to enable wake on LAN" returns several guides. This will obviously vary greatly between motherboards and versions of Windows. Steam Link Anywhere is more akin to Nvidias GameStream service, which essentially lets your home gaming rig serve as the server to stream games you already own. How do I do it? Generally, WoL needs to be enabled in your BIOS, and then on your network adapter settings within Windows. I am now able to come home, grab my controller and start playing games, all within a minute or two with just a few controller button presses. Why would I want that? If your Steam source PC is in another room or part of your house, it can save you a trip. What is Wake On LAN(WoL) ? It is a network packet that your PC will 'listen' for, even when off, that will cause your computer to boot up. So I thought I would share with you guys!
